The Diploma of Building and Construction Management is a vocational qualification designed to provide individuals with the essential knowledge and skills for a successful career in the construction industry. This program focuses on developing the skills needed to manage building projects efficiently, ensuring adherence to industry standards, legal requirements, and sustainable practices. It prepares students for managerial positions in construction, with an emphasis on project management, cost estimation, site supervision, risk management, and contractor coordination.
Upon completing this diploma, students will gain a thorough understanding of the construction process, from initial planning through to project completion. They will acquire the ability to manage teams effectively, coordinate resources, and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Education:
Completion of Year 12 or equivalent, or relevant work experience in construction.
Language Proficiency:
For non-native English speakers, an IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent is typically required. The test result must be valid within 2 years at the time of the visa application.
Exemptions Apply if:
You are a citizen and hold a passport from the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland.
You are enrolled in a principal course of study that is a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course delivered in a language other than English, or a registered post-graduate research course.
You have completed at least 5 years of study in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
