Certificate III in Carpentry

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have completed Year 10 or an equivalent qualification. They should be ready to undertake 360 hours of vocational placement or work experience.

Proof of English language proficiency is required, such as IELTS, PTE, or similar tests. For IELTS, a minimum overall score of 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5 is required, and the test result must be valid within two years at the time of visa application. Some educational institutions also provide an in-house English Placement Test to meet entry requirements.

Exemptions apply if:
– The applicant holds a passport from the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, or the Republic of Ireland.
– They are enrolled in a registered school course, a standalone English Language Intensive Course for Overseas Students (ELICOS), a course taught in a language other than English, or a registered postgraduate research program.
– They have completed at least five years of education in English in one or more of the following countries: Australia, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, or the Republic of Ireland.
